Born in 2003 in San Francisco, Sonny's parents quickly whisked him away to Boston where he was raised as an east coast kid from the neighborhood . Sonny had a typical Boston upbringing, falling in love with ice hockey, playing Fortnite, and shoveling a lot of snow.
Sonny's been a money maker since he was a little kid. He sold water on the street at Boston's famous St. Anthony's feast, rang doorbells to shovel snow, hawked candy out of his middle school locker and bar-backed, all before starting HolyVerse NFT at age 18 where he generated $4.5M. Today he's a content creator who shares his marketing expertise in his Get Shit Done Academy and helps brands build their social presence via his agency, FazGrowth.
Ever the class clown, Sonny left the famous Boston Latin School to attend Boston College High School. After graduating in 2021, Sonny spent a year at college in Fort Myers, Florida where he learned that college was only slowing down his entrepreneurial journey. Today Sonny's learning from the school of life and voraciously studies the lives and knowledge of the most successful people on the planet.
Sonny's Motha, a.k.a. "Elena," was born and raised in the Canarsie neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. Her big Italian-Irish family can be spotted on some episodes on the SonnyFaz YouTube channel.
She graduated from Boston University, then headed west and spent 8 years in California.
Sonny was born, and they came back to Boston because she wanted to raise him close to family and with east coast grit.
Elena started out in comedy and music at ICM/LA (International Creative Management) before heading up the California coast to join the booking team at Bill Graham Presents in San Francisco (now Live Nation). In 2003, she chose to leave the business to raise Sonny.
For 15 years, Elena worked in creative advertising as a copywriter, but she wanted nothing more than to get back into entertainment. In 2019 she built a boutique talent agency called The Barbera Company with a roster of speakers and comedians.
In July 2022, Sonny asked his mother to do a "mom reacts" video on YouTube. It was his first YouTube video and he thought it might get some clicks.
A few megapints of wine later, and Sonny Faz and his mother are now full time YouTubers.
They're new residents on Florida's Space Coast and spend time filming, plotting, playing with the dog, and building the Get Shit Done Academy.
